about

" One night in August 2017 I started experimenting with some synths and samples and created the foundation of the first part. At that point, I did not know that I had just started my debut album but two days later it became clear. When I came home from work I got this call after which nothing was as before. I heard that my father had passed away two days earlier, around the time I was sitting in my studio, producing what now has become the first part. After years of depression, my father himself decided to end everything and so he left us alone, full of questions and full of pain. When I then listened to my latest session, I recognized the floating quality of the music, that sounded to me like the soundtrack for his transition to another dimension. The following 12 months I used the music to deal with all the pain and grief and decided, that this should be my debut album, with a special dedication to my father. For me, the music not only evokes sadness and loss but also hope and relief. Gradually I learned to accept his decision and made my peace with it."
